Daniels 70th week?

Daniel chap 11 vs 20: His successor will send out a tax collector to maintain the royal splendor. In  a few years, however, he will be destroyed, yet not in anger or in battle.

The US economy at one time pumped out more money and production then all of the countries in western Europe combined. When Bill Clinton signed the NAFTA treaty the result was a large exodus of jobs leaving the USA for China; in the last 4 years alone, over 3 million of them. With the jobs leaving the country the government tax base went away. Mr Clinton also pushed the banks into giving home loans to those that did not qualify. Hence we had Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, President Bush attempted to stop it, however, Barney Frank the chairman of the House Banking committee said no and that was the end of it. This was only part of the problem, the Federal government has borrowed from Peter to pay Paul and those of us that are close to retirement are looking at working until we are unable or die.

The current resident in the White House seems bent on destroying what is left of the economy. The USA is 16 trillion dollars in debt and he has spent more more money then all the previous presidents combined. The House of Representatives will pass a budget and the Senate ran by Harry Reid will not take it up and they just borrow more money to keep the government operating. When this occurs the Federal Reserve buys the debt and we, meaning the US  taxpayer owes the Federal Reserve the amount borrowed plus interest. It is a vicious cycle that no one in government is willing to stop. Their answer is to raise taxes. The problem is that even if they raise taxes they will just increase their spending. Giving politicians tax money is like giving a heroin addict more  heroin  they are never satisfied with what they have. The Weimer Republic had borrowed so much money that it resulted in hyper inflation. It took a basket full of marks to buy a loaf of bread. We won't have to worry about carrying around that much money. We have debit cards and once that is done away with the government will give us an implant that can be scanned when we purchase items.

Hillary Clinton the current Secretary of State had let the lid off of Obama's plans, if he is re-elected. He plans on going to the United Nations and seek a tax on billionaires to be run by the UN. Therefore taking away any opportunity for a wealthy person to run and hide from the reach of the IRS.  Governments all over the world are in trouble, the country of Greece is an prime example. My own state of California has done the same thing. The democrats have ran the state government for over 40 years and have created as much debt as the entire country of Greece. When you talk to any representative about cutting spending at either the state level or federal level it is like spitting in the wind and nothing happens.

The current resident in the White House is arrogant and thinks he knows more then the average working man out here. If he is re-elected then the prophecy of Daniel 11 vs 20, could happen right in front of us. There were those that thought President Bush would do this, however he did manage to pass the patriot act and now we have patriot act 2, as approved by Obama. With this authority they can listen on your phone conversations and  record them. Cities across the United States are  putting cameras to monitor what people are doing in certain areas, we are being constantly monitored by government that tell us they mean the best for us, yet this can and will turn evil, much like what was described in the book written by George Orwell. It is the story of a society ran by a totalitarian government, the society was ran with an iron fist. The government monitors the movement of freight and other items across the country, the Law enforcement agencies across the USA at times are nothing more then uniformed tax collectors.  All of these steps are baby steps, but if the president of the USA goes to the UN and ask for a global tax on a certain group of wealthy people. Then we know that history is compressing around us.

We really need to understand this, that God is in control. There are those of us who have spoken out against what is going on the bias of media and the control of what is being said by willing puppets in the main stream media. Inspite of our speaking out, the out look of the coming election is much in doubt. David Wilkerson was right when he said this is not recession or depression this is judgement from God.

I pray each day for the Lord to have mercy on our country, this country has bathed itself in sin and very few wish to repent. When you read this pray that the Lord will show us mercy and not judgement. God bless you this day.

THAT STILL SMALL VOICE

Matthew 8:20
Jesus replied, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

Matthew 25:31-46
The Sheep and the Goats

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdomprepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.

It was 1993 and I had been unemployed for almost a year and a half and for the first time in my life I felt a genuine fear of my family becoming homeless. I was diligent in my search for employment in my chosen profession as a purchasing agent but was told 3-5 times a week “We’ll call you”. And they never did.  I prayed each morning and just kept submitting applications. Each time I followed up on a position I became more and more frustrated and eventually came to the conclusion that I needed to make a late in life change of professions. After researching my options I decided to put myself through truck driving school. I was employed within a week of obtaining my commercial driver’s license and I have been abundantly blessed in my work ever since.

I travel all over the USA and I have seen most every state. In these travels I used to see a lot of homeless men and some women. Nowadays I see whole families begging for money. This morning I stopped at a rest area and saw a young woman holding a sign that said, "Homeless with two children".  The Lord spoke to my heart and I gave her what I could but even then I felt like it was not enough. The Lord spoke to my spirit and said “you have to let me take care of the rest”. As the song says “Little is much if God is in it”. I guess the important thing is that I heeded the spirits calling, not how much I did, just that I did.

With today’s government putting us officially over 16 trillion dollars in debt and sending our jobs to China and Mexico the seeds for another depression are being sown and they could bear fruit at any given time. If things go bad, there will be millions more homeless and they will be looking to the people of God for help and answers. Already we are seeing more people that are homeless and hungry and the numbers alone could make us feel overwhelmed or even callused. As a nation we have become more materialistic than ever and hardened our hearts hard toward the poor. I know that some would say that they are already a part of the working poor, and as more of us struggle from paycheck to paycheck that might be a fair statement. But the working poor can eat every day and have a roof over their head. There are millions of homeless people who do not get to eat every day and do not have a roof over their head or a soft bed to sleep in. So when the Lord puts these people in our path and we hear the still small voice do we heed or walk away because we are overwhelmed, too proud or even fearful for our own provision when we should trust that God will take care of every single detail. Will we be the sheep or the goats?

When Jesus walked this planet he did not have a home, he owned just one coat and gave that away. He depended upon the goodness of others. He told us that "if you have done it unto the least of them you have done it onto Me." I pray that we will all listen, heed the Lords calling and trust Him to take care of the rest.

The Crippled Covenant

Psalm 124
1If the LORD had not been on our side—
let Israel say—
2if the LORD had not been on our side
when men attacked us,
3when their anger flared against us,
they would have swallowed us alive;
4the flood would have engulfed us,
the torrent would have swept over us,
5the raging waters
would have swept us away.
6Praise be to the LORD,
who has not let us be torn by their teeth.
7We have escaped like a bird
out of the fowler’s snare;
the snare has been broken,
and we have escaped.
8Our help is in the name of the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

Long before the Hebrews entered into the promise land they made a covenant with God. The first five books of the Bible tell the story of their journey, the laws God gave them and what happened along the way. They were reminded several times that if they exercised obedience to the statutes that they were given they would be rewarded with prosperity as a people and a nation. They were also warned of the consequences if they chose to break the law.

And as they say “history repeats itself”. The Nations of Israel and Judah chose to do as they pleased. Their worship of false gods, adulterous behaviors, the sacrifice of their own children and disrespect of the Sabbaths God gave them was just some of what led them to ruin and 70 years of captivity.

The Lord would speak to the people through prophets, when the King would inquire of the Lord. For example he would ask the prophet if he should go to war with a particular nation and the prophet would then tell the King the Lords answer. Often He would answer them saying “go I will deliver them into your hands”.  But he could not deliver them when they had broken the covenant by marrying foreign women. God told them they would lose the battle and have to pay tribute to their enemies. After a few years of this the people would repent from their sin and ask the Lord to help them. His loving nature looked upon them with compassion and He would deliver them. However the Lords patience must give way to judgment if His people continue to disregard His leading.

If you have read the text from the Mayflower Compact, you can see that the original colonist in the United States made a covenant with the Lord. (I have posted a copy of it below). Because of this covenant and their willingness to follow the teachings of Jesus, the United States of America became a sovereign nation. It is because of this covenant that our nation prospered, we were a nation under God indivisible with Liberty and Justice for all. The covenant was further solidified with the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America. These documents represent a people who were dedicated to having a nation that would follow the teachings of the Bible. The very foundation of law is based upon the Ten Commandments. Our nation grew and became an empire, but as it grew and prospered the people and the leaders forgot and made efforts to keep the Lord out of schools and in government and became hardened to their own sin.

The Lord has been patient with our nation but He has done things to try and get our attention. The civil war killed over 1 million people, more than all of the other wars of our nation combined and it was the direct result of instituting slavery, a practice which the constitution does not support at all. You can call it what you want, but it was punishment for a great sin. The Lord after this prospered our nation and we became great and powerful; almost equal to the stature of Rome.

Rome eventually because of their greed and wanton sexual sin disappeared. We like Rome and Israel are on the verge of disappearing. We are a nation that has lost it way and has turned its back on the Lord. We have broken the covenant established by the pilgrims and as a result we could end up in civil war and find this once great nation divided.

Each day you see the media and the government, marginalizing the teachings of Christ and those that follow Jesus. They claim separation of church and state, and yet government ways are forced upon the church more and more. The government and the media want free speech as long as it suits them, but if you speak out in a public place about the Lord, we are told to be quiet.

The Lord God of all things will not play second fiddle to a government or a people that seeks to exclude him out of all facets of society. He is angry with us and our nation and will exact his punishment. Quoting David Wilkerson "…this is not recession or depression, but it is judgment."

In all of this the voice the Lord calls out to us and tells us to lean not upon our own understanding but to lean upon him. He calls us to trust him and to serve him, not to sell out to a society that is full of itself and boasts about its sin, and refuses to repent. He pleads for us to come away and be separate and a Holy people.  None of us are perfect or without sin. We all need Jesus to cover our sin and this is why he went to the cross and rose from the dead; to deliver us from the bondage of sin and death. Today as you read this, examine your life and then ask the Lord to examine your life. Then ask him to cover you with his blood.
